My Mother's Friend's UFO Sighting
A few weeks ago, I went to visit my mother, who lives in northern New South Wales, Australia.
Tweed Heads is like the retirement capital of the universe. Maybe like Florida, for those American readers, but much more low-key. (I am not sure where one retires to in the UK, as all the beaches appear to be pebbly, which would surely hurt one’s feet.)
Anyway, it’s the land of sandy beaches, clubs with lots of Beatles and BeeGees cover bands, $10 roast beef at lunch, and lots of services catering to retirees. It’s in the middle of winter in Australia right now, so rough winds meant all the beaches were closed. And it rained a lot. But Mum’s lasagna was the best.
Anyway, Mum’s got a friend, who she assured me would never make anything up, who saw a UFO while out walking her dog late at night! A photo of the alleged UFO is below.
I am somewhat skeptical - but I’m not sure what I’m looking at it. Is the moon? A weather balloon? An escaped lens flare from a Michael Bay movie? A drone?
Any ideas?
