Downsizing
I've changed my website again! Last year, I was tired of how bloated and ad-soaked Wordpress had become, so I moved to Joomla. And while that was a fantastic CMS, it felt a bit like driving a huge truck. I wanted a website that was a bit more cozy, and that I could understand what was happening under the hood better. I looked at some of the static site generators, but felt like there had be a good middle ground.
So here I am with my new bearblog author site, with each page that can be tweaked using Markdown and HTML (or a mix) and with a nice CSS template that a friend helped me with. The website feels a lot smoother to run and I can focus on the fun stuff now, like blogging, more book reviews and special content as I continue to explore my urban fantasy universe.
